What distinguishes the champagne flute with a pig?

The champagne flute with a pig motif combines the familiar, slender shape of a classic champagne glass with a humorous detail in the stem. The pig symbolizes luck, prosperity, and fertility, thus acting as a positive companion at the glass in many situations.

What is the flute shape with the pig design best suited for?

This flute is ideal when toasting and visual appeal are paramount: it beautifully showcases the delicate bubbles of Champagne, sparkling wine, Crémant, Prosecco, or Cava, creating the iconic "Champagne feeling." Its shape emphasizes the rising bubbles and the elegant lines of the glass, making it perfect for aperitifs, receptions, and festive occasions.

How are the flutes made with pork during the manufacturing process?

In a German glass workshop, each flute is individually mouth-blown. The glassblower works without a fixed mold, guided by hand movements and experience. This results in slight variations in proportion, wall thickness, and the flow of the glass—typical characteristics of genuine handcraft. Each flute has its own unique personality, rather than the industrial perfection of a machine.

How is the pig in a stick made?

The pig on a stick is shaped from molten glass and then integrated into the handle. There are no templates or prefabricated parts; the glassblower models each figure directly from the material. As a result, facial expressions, body shape, and posture vary slightly from pig to pig. These variations are intentional and make your lucky pig a unique little work of art.

Can I use the champagne flute with the pig design in everyday life?

Despite its playful details, this flute isn't just a collector's item. The glass is made of borosilicate, a material that is both lightweight and durable. You can use the flutes in everyday life or at small celebrations, and after toasting, simply clean them in the dishwasher. This keeps the glass easy to handle, even though it looks like a work of art.

Blown freehand – without a mold

The champagne flute with the pig motif is created without a mold or templates. The bowl is blown freehand, its proportions resulting from the glassblower's movements and experience. In the second step, the pig is modeled separately from glass and then incorporated into the stem.

Since each figure is created directly by the artist's hand, no two pigs are alike; sometimes the snout is a little rounder, sometimes the ears a little more pointed. These small differences are what give the glasses their special charm.
