Unusually light and surprisingly robust

Those who pick up a casa vitri glass for the first time are often surprised: it lacks the heaviness of industrial crystal glass. But this lightness is not a sign of fragility, but rather of high-tech.

Thanks to the use of borosilicate glass 3.3, we can blow the walls thin without sacrificing stability. The result is a glass that feels almost weightless in your hand, yet is more durable than most "thick" glasses.

Your new favorite glass

A glass you'll want to use every day. Borosilicate glass is a technical laboratory glass that is extremely heat-resistant. You can easily serve a hot espresso in it or enjoy an ice-cold drink "on the rocks" without the glass cracking from the temperature shock.

Dishwasher safe, acid resistant and durable – the perfect all-rounder for your everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Why is the glass so light?

We use borosilicate glass, which has a lower density than lead crystal. This allows us to produce very fine glasses that are pleasantly light in the hand, but thanks to their special molecular structure are nevertheless more robust and elastic than conventional glass.

Can I pour in hot drinks?

Yes, absolutely. Borosilicate glass is extremely heat-resistant (it's also used in laboratories). Whether it's boiling water for tea or a hot espresso, the glass easily withstands the temperatures.

Are the glasses dishwasher safe?

Yes. Unlike softer glass, borosilicate glass is not attacked by salts in the dishwasher and remains permanently brilliant and clear. Just make sure you use a suitable dishwasher detergent if you have hard water.
If slight cloudiness is caused by limescale deposits, you can easily remove them with vinegar or citric acid.
